Not as good as Katz but the vibe is AMAZING here. I love love love this place. Pastrami is so so good.

Cute little Jewish deli not far from Grand Central Station. The matzoh ball soup is just what my Jewish friend's grandma suggested for a cold while in the city. Went down so nicely! My family had frankfurters and potato pancakes. We enjoyed the pickles and loved the slaw! Cookies were a great finishing touch. Staff were so observant but not on top of us the whole time - felt right at home!

It's not cheap but lordy is it good. Just DoorDashed a pastrami sandwich with a few extra pickles to my hotel and, at least, it was cheaper than room service and a ton better. A $27 pastrami sandwich is well, a lot, so I held off on the potato salad, drank water, and put all my monetary bets on the sandwich. And they paid off. Great pastrami is hard to find and this is real deal. I'd do it again. Though, were I hungrier, I wish they had a triple decker with pastrami and chopped liver and I didn't see one on the menu. For next time.

This is a great deli. The sandwiches are exceptional. The prices are a little expensive, but one sandwich could easily feed two people. The ingredients and flavors on the sandwich are top-notch. The gentleman that created my sandwich provided great customer service. I would visit this deli again.

This place is the REAL DEAL. If you are looking for a legit Jewish Deli in NY, look no further. Menu is huge with all the expected sandwiches with meat piled high, but also all the delicious Jewish food classics, like Chicken Noodle Soup, knishes, stuffed cabbage, gefilte fish - you name it! Meals also come with the traditional pickles and cole slaw delivered to your table and cookies afterwards! I had to have the stuffed cabbage and this was literally exactly like my Grandma from Poland used to make, sweet and sour with the raisins. Not too sweet, not too sour, and huge! It was practically the size of a burrito. Husband's corned beef was delicious. Of course, brown mustard served on the side for the sandwiches and the knishes. Absolutely will make it every trip to NY now!

This is such a nice classic deli, and the food was great! Matzoh ball soup: 9/10 This was one of the best matzoh ball soups ever! The matzoh ball was so soft and flavorful. I loved it. The broth was fine, but the matzoh ball was delicious. Latkes: 8.5/10 Very crispy, well-made latke. Enjoyed! It's really big. Pastrami sandwich: 7/10 The bread was good, but dry at all, but the pastrami was a bit too thinly cut and lean. Not my favorite. Challah French toast: 9.5/10 This is delicious! Perfectly crisped up and fluffy. The challah soaks up the sugar so well!

First time back after almost a decade. I fully intended on having pastrami but I wasn't as hungry at lunch so I ordered a knish and the matzoh ball soup with no salt. I took home I have the slice of the sweet noodle pudding. Everything was great, just as I remembered it. Staff is very friendly.

Nestled between 33rd Street and 3rd Ave, this institution has been around for many decades. When you walk in you are greeted at the deli section then you can be seated in the back. Old school deli dishing out original authentic Jewish foods. You will love the decorations from early 40's, subway tiles, dark wood, gold tin ceilings. Ample lighting so it doesn't feel dark. I love when there are different ethnic groups are working together - Asians, Latinos, Middle Eastern, Jewish, etc. A great melting pot! Love it! Food: 4 Stars We ordered: 1. Soup and Half Sandwich combo - Hot Pastrami and mushroom barley soup. 2. Fries and Half Sandwich combo - Hot Corn Beef 4 Stars Both sandwiches were good and was piled with the meat. Both savory and moist. Just add mustard and you will be satisfied with the taste. 4 Stars - Barley mushroom was hearty and hot. Salt n pepper for additional taste. 3 Stars - Fries were crunchy but the oil left a slight residue on our mouths. 2.5 - 3 Stars - I understand the price of the meat has gone up due to inflation but it hard to justify paying $27 for a half sandwich and fries or soup combo. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the food but the price left us wondering a little bit. First time in New York for us and maybe those are the average price for Hot Pastrami or Corn Beef sandwich. 4.5 Stars - server was attentive but not obtrusive. Knowledgeable of the menu and made you feel comfortable. Will come back on our next visit.
